Regarding rehab rumors (2004)

I am appalled. Let me state for the record, that I have not checked myself into any rehabilitation center in Aspen, Colorado; I am here for a few days with my children. I am outraged by these constant rumors. My team and I are going to use our best efforts to find out who these people are, who are continually trying to bring me grief and shame, and we are going to stop it. This is simply another of a litany of false rumors that are being circulated by people who are simply lying to further their own agenda. I would like to thank the media for reaching out to me to verify the actual facts. As I am away with my children, I am also respectfully requesting that we are granted our privacy.
